A place to post a plea for donations for a pet with special medical needs. Email: special@webexchange.net
Last night I came home about 10:45 p.m. from a work related meeting. I thought there was a deer in the middle of the road so I slowed down. WELL it was not a deer. It was a dumped Walker Hound. His right front leg/foot is injured (the paw is hot to the touch) and he is emaciated. No doubt will be heartworm positive, they all are. His nails are long, he smell like no other dog I have ever found or rescued. I will not be able to keep him here unless I receive donations for care. My husband and I just spent $6500.00 for another rescue dog that was injured and we are now BROKE. We received one donation of $25.00 for Barney.

To ensure the legitimacy of a plea, it is suggested to direct any donation directly to the treating Veterinarian.

Hi my name is Tara (from Texas) and my baby boy Gus an English Bulldog tore his ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament). I have taken him to several vets to see what options I have and have been told the same thing "He needs surgery". This surgery is expensive it is anywhere from $2500.00 to $3500.00 dollars. I am a single mom of 5 and can't come up with the money for the surgery. I am requesting that any pet lovers or any one that can help would make some donations to help Gus. He is in al ot of pain and I was told if he doesn't get surgery it will cause eventually, DJD... degenerative joint disease... and arthritis. My baby is only 7months old and I don't want him suffering for the rest of his life. The surgery that is needed is called TIBEAL PLATEAU LEVELING OSTEOTOMY or TPLO surgery. This requires specialized instruction, special bone saws and metal implants. I hate to have my baby cut into but I don't have any options. I know everyone is tight on money now but anything would help $1.00,$5.00,$10.00 or whatever you can afford. I have enclosed a picture of Gus and would be more than happy to send pictures of his process and progress to anyone that is interested and if needed I can send a receipt for a tax deductible donation. Anything will be greatly appreciated. My paypal account is tara_pavlicek@yahoo.com or I can be reached at 979-732-7833 or 979-725-6933. Thank you very much and God BlessThe vet is Dr. Michael Ridlen At Colorado Valley Veterinary Services 979-732-9981. This vet has to refer Gus to Gulf coast Veterinary services in Houston,Texas But anyone can call and get the Info for my baby.

Hello, My name is Lisa . I rescued a little guy off the street and he needs help. There is no telling how long he has been out on the street, I did all the things that I could think of to do, I put up signs, put an ad in the Sac Bee, Craigslist. I have had not response. This little guy is about 10-12 lbs I would say he is 15 plus years old, he is almost blind, he hears pretty well, I know he needs medical attention, he has a bad cough (not like kennel cough) this is more like an asthma cough in humans. He breaths very heavy shot breaths. Since I have had him his energy level is up. I am unable at this time to get him the medical help i'm sure he needs. I was really hoping that one of you rescue groups out there could take him. I do not want to take him to the SPCA. I have attached a couple of pictures of him. I have been wanting to give him a bath and clean him up but I was afraid that he might get sicker than he is if he gets cold.
Will one of you please help this little guy!! Please email me or call me 916-912-7496 LBRESHEARS2003@comcast.net

My name is Desiree Smith ( a resident of Louisiana ). I am writing in hopes of obtaining help for our beloved handicap family pet Bo.
Bo, is a 4 year old Boston terrier. About 2 years ago Bo suffered a ruptured disc due to Canine Interverterbral disc disease. He was left unable to walk due to rear leg paralization. Bo's only chance to walk again was to have a very costly back surgery. Even though my parents could not afford this, they could not say no. They were able to borrow the money to have the surgery done. It is now 2 years down the road and Bo is still unable to walk, the veterinarian said it was a 50/50 chance because of the damage to his spinal cord.
Unfortunately my parents are still unable to afford a wheelchair for him. I believe his quality of life will be significantly improved if he could move around without having to struggle and scoot.
Not only is this a challenge for him, but for the family as well. Bo has many accidents in the house because he is unable to move fast enough to make it outside. My mother must also bandage his legs daily to prevent sores from scooting.
Please consider helping my family obtain a wheelchair for our Bo Buddy. It would be greatly appreciated.
If this is not something you can do, please let us know of any other resources available.
Sincerely,Desiree Smith dvintismith@hotmail.com
My husband and I recently adopted a 5 year old cocker spaniel (Cookie). We got her on a wellness plan with Petsmart. However, my husband just had surgery and well we did not expect all these out of pocket bills. Cookie has catarcts and since she's young the vet is encouraging it. However, the bill costs about 2,800 plus the 90.00 consultation fee. Please, if there was a way that someone could please, please help us.
